DISCOUNTS AND SURCHARGES
Common language combination
If your translation is in a common language combination, such as English-French, English-Spanish, English-German and vice versa, or other common language combinations, it will attract a lower price than rare language combinations.
Extended time frame
Another circumstance for special pricing is when we have plenty of time to complete the translation. We operate with standard delivery times, depending on the size and nature of the document, and when we are able to extend this time we can often offer a discount. Unfortunately, we cannot give you a reduced rate for an urgent translation. In fact, an urgent translation can often attract a small surcharge.
Large texts and repeat orders
We primarily grant discounts or extra competitive rates for very large texts which are not specialised in nature. For example, an order for ten thousand words of standard text with plenty of time to complete the job could qualify for a discount. We also have discounts available for loyal customers who place multiple translation orders with us.
If there are a lot of repetitions in the text such as, for example, when you have several similar documents that you need to have translated, we can often reduce the price. If the documents are delivered in an editable format, such as Word or Excel, we can analyse the texts for repetitions. Based on the outcome of our analysis, we will provide you with a suitable discount. Our translators have similar tools to analyse the documents and can therefore also profit from the overlap. Please keep in mind the fact that source documents which cannot be edited, such as PDFs, may not be eligible for a discount.
If you have a specific budget in mind, please feel free to let us know. We will take this into account when drawing up your quote and will try our best to accommodate your needs by, for example, providing you with several options with a different turnaround time and price.
In certain situations, a surcharge can apply. We may have to charge an extra fee if you have a tight deadline, or if your text is very specialised. We will always inform you of this beforehand, in the quotation.
