General information regarding the Spanish language

Spanish, sometimes also referred to as Castilian (castellano), is the most commonly spoken language after Mandarin-Chinese. Around 332 million people have Spanish as their native language. As a result of the colonisation carried out by the powerful Spanish naval forces, there are many countries and areas where Spanish is the national and most widely spoken language. Spanish is the official language in Spain and in almost all Latin American countries. Spanish is often found as a common second language in Africa and the United States and can also be found in Asia in the Philippines.

Spanish Department

Our translation agency has a large Spanish department with more than 400 translators in Spain and South America. We translate more than 12 million words of text per year into Spanish, mostly from English, but also from almost any other language.

All our translators have expertise in different subject areas, from legal to medical, marketing to finance, science to astrology and almost anything in between. Each translation is assigned to a specialist in the subject of the text, which ensures the terminology and flow matches that of the field. They have years of experience as translators and either a degree, in-depth work experience or a passion for the subject in which they specialise.
