Translations for PSD2

PSD2 (Payment Service Directive 2) is the new version of the European PSD Directive of 2007. The new PSD2 legislation provides more businesses and payment institutions with access to information around payment traffic. PSD2 came into force on 19 February 2019, with the Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) following on 14 September 2019. The regulatory standards describe the techniques which businesses in fintech and similar fields can use to get access the data in a payment account. From this date onwards payment institutions like banks must make their interfaces available to third parties, in the manner described in the RTS. That means that from 14 September 2019 information must be provided to clients.
